Set against an expansive backdrop of changing ocean and sky, this living space is designed to be a cozy gathering space where there is enough support in the custom seating ease long conversations, games, or just getting in and out during the busy summer season. All the furnishings were custom designed for this home and space, we modified every aspect of the final products, carefully integrated maximized seating and configuration so as not to overwhelm the room. Soft green, plums, and lavender tones draw inspiration from the landscape and create a balance of comfort and refinement. A custom design ottoman in plum/merlot leather, walnut, and tiny brass detailing grounds the surrounding furniture. The ottoman was a fun design endeavor because the client desired a softly curved S-shape, nothing sharp, and we were pleased collaborate with the fabricator every detail. Large glass doors dissolve the boundary between indoors and out, inviting light, breeze, and an ever changing view into the heart of the home.
